It’s the last weekend of August, which means the spring expo circuit is in the books. MOORE came through Springfield. Flagstaff wrapped in May. If you still have “overlanding season is here” sitting in a tab somewhere, close it.
What’s left of 2026 is a short fall list: one gathering in the Ozarks, Overland Expo East in Virginia, and the California Overland show in Pomona. That’s the honest calendar from here.
We’re Twain Trailers, based in Ozark, Missouri. We go to these things to put hands on gear, talk to people who actually sleep in their rigs, and remember why we started building in the first place. If you’re heading to any of the shows below, say so in the comments. We read them.
Already happened (spring 2026)
Searchers still land here looking for spring dates. Those shows are done:
- MOORE (Midwest Overlanding and Off-Road Expo) — April 17–18, 2026, Ozark Empire Fairgrounds, Springfield, MO. Our backyard show. Organizers are already pointing at 2027 at the Missouri State Fairgrounds in Sedalia.
- Austin Overland Adventure & Power Sports Show — early May 2026, Palmer Events Center, Austin, TX.
- Toyota Jamboree — April 30–May 3, 2026, Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area, Gilmer, TX. (Older writeups on this site said May 15–18. The organizer’s dates were the April 30 weekend.)
- Overland Expo West — May 15–17, 2026, Ft. Tuthill County Park, Flagstaff, AZ. Official recap is up. Next West on the organizer site is May 14–16, 2027.
Called off: Overland of America
Overland of America was on our list for September 18–20 in Jay, Oklahoma. The organizers announced on their Facebook page in late July that the 2026 event is cancelled after they lost the venue at America’s Outdoor Adventure Park. They’ve been processing camper, spectator, and vendor refunds and say they’re looking for a 2027 home.
Their website still shows the old September dates and “registration is closed.” Believe the cancellation post, not the leftover event page. If you bought tickets, start at Overland of America or their Facebook page for refund status — don’t drive to Jay expecting a show.
What’s left of 2026
Rendezvous in the Ozarks
October 15–17, 2026
Mulberry Mountain Lodge, Ozark National Forest, Arkansas
Event info and registration
This is the fall gathering that actually exists in our hills. Natural State Overland’s 10th Rendezvous sits on a mountain along Highway 23, with primitive camping, electric sites, vendors, classes, and (if the Forest Service permit comes through) limited guided trail runs. Highway-legal vehicles and dual-sport bikes only — no ATVs or side-by-sides.
It’s Ozark, Arkansas, not Ozark, Missouri. Still a realistic drive from home, and a lot closer to a trail than a convention hall. If you want one event this fall that feels like camping with your people instead of walking a show floor, this is the one from our part of the country.
Late registration on the organizer site runs through October 9. Confirm current pricing and camping on their page before you commit.
Overland Expo East
October 23–25, 2026
Friday 9–5, Saturday 9–5, Sunday 9–3
Oak Ridge Estate, 1265 Oak Ridge Rd, Arrington, VA
Tickets · Exhibitor registration
Cap the year on the East Coast. Same Overland Expo formula as West — exhibitors, classes, camping, evening film and happy-hour energy — set on 4,800 acres in the Blue Ridge. The organizer lists 250+ exhibitors and a full education program. Forest camping is already sold out as of late August; general, premium, and moto camping were still listed as available. Day and weekend passes are sold separately from parking ($10/car/day).
If you’ve never done an Overland Expo and Flagstaff was too far, this is the remaining 2026 shot. Rooftop tents, trailers, moto, the whole mix. Tickets are online-only in advance.
California Overland Adventure and Power Sports Show — Pomona
October 24–25, 2026
Saturday 10 a.m.–5 p.m., Sunday 10 a.m.–4 p.m.
Fairplex, 1101 W. McKinley Avenue, Pomona, CA
Tickets · Exhibitor info
Same weekend as East, other coast. This is the SoCal indoor/outdoor mix: overland vehicles and campers, rooftop tents, ATVs, UTVs, motorcycles, and the usual gear aisles. If you’re already west, or you want a second data point after walking East, Pomona is the remaining California date on this organizer’s 2026 list. (They also run Sonoma September 26–27 at the Sonoma County Event Center, if you’re on the West Coast earlier.)
Military and first-responder discounts are listed on the show site.
Why bother going
Events cost money and a weekend. A YouTube rabbit hole is cheaper. We still go because you can’t kick a hitch, sit in a tent, or get a straight answer on a build from a thumbnail.
The overlanding crowd is still one of the more genuine groups we’ve been around. These remaining shows are where that crowd is for the rest of 2026. Go find your people. Come home with one idea you didn’t know you needed.
Come find us
We’re a small shop out of Ozark. We’re working on getting Twain Trailers to more of these events, and we’ll say so here when we have a booth locked. In the meantime, follow along on YouTube — we document the builds, the trips, and the gear decisions in real time.
If you’re going to Rendezvous, East, or Pomona, tell us in the comments. If you see something on the floor that actually works in the real world, share it. That’s the whole point.
And if you came here looking for MOORE, Jay, or a spring Toyota date: those already happened, or in Jay’s case didn’t. The fall list above is what’s left.
